Payroll Operations Manager

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Payroll Manager to join a large organisation based in Manchester city centre. You will lead 5 direct reports, ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processing for 40,000+ employees.

Key duties include:

• Strategic project work, including transformation, implementation and continuous improvement.

• Lead aTeam of Payroll specialists and analysts ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time and in line with regulations.

• Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders

• Lead point of contact for internal and external audits

• Ensuring high levels of service are maintained and any escalations are dealt with effectively.

The candidate:

• Experience leading large payroll teams

• Excellent technical understanding of payroll legislation and processes

• Experience and involvement leading payroll projects

• Track record of improving efficiencies

• Experience within a shared service environment

• Strong leadership skills

• Strategic thinker
